About Me

As far back as I can remember, I have always dreamed of becoming a mechanical engineer who can design and build new products. Upon completing my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, I gravitated toward quality control, design, and research and development. After a few years of working in the industry, I was missing the challenge. I felt that I needed to learn something different.

All of this changed when I did my first Python introduction video. I could not stop thinking about what else I could build by mastering this skill. So I flipped my entire life by moving from Brazil to Canada and starting a 2-year IT Programming program.

Since then, I've learned how programs are integrated with databases, what well-written code looks like, and how to build user interface designs. Back-end development calls to all my passions; how it incorporates problem-solving and critical thinking. From developing a web application to creating a mobile application, there's nothing more thrilling than the challenge of tackling a new project and finding the most efficient and effective solution.

My specialties include quickly learning new skills and programming languages, problem-solving, and database management. So far I have C, Java, SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Linux (Mint), and Git/GitHub under my belt. I've started learning React and Node.js. With these specialties, I am always eager to acquire new knowledge and refine the skills I currently possess.
